Walking Tour Of Havana

Explore Havana's Four Major Plazas

During the walk you will discover the cultural heritage of Cuba, where you can see architecture dating back to the 18th century. Our walking tour will explore: Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral San Cristobal de La Habana, Plaza Vieja, and Plaza San Francisco de Asis. Lunch at Ambos Mundos, one of Old Havana’s finest hotels. This hotel was once home to writer Ernest Hemingway; he occupied a room on the fifth floor where he began writing For Whom the Bell Tolls. Tour members will dine on a terrace overlooking the old city and the harbor. During the evening, enjoy leisure time and dinner on your own.

Guided Tour of Havana's Artistc Landscape

Guided tour of the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (Arte Cubano) where you can see a variety of Cuban and International artists. Afterwards, enjoy a classic car ride through the city and along the Malecón, the sea wall. Lunch will be provided at one of the best paladares (family restaurants) in the city. Visit a small private gallery that features independent Cuban artists, with artwork for sale.

From Pre-Columbian Times to Modern Socialism

Guided tour of the Cuban Museo de la Revolución, where you can learn of the history the nation, from its Pre-Columbian times to its present day socialist government. The museum itself is located in the former Presidential Palace! Classic car ride through the city to the historic Revolution Square (Plaza de la Revolución), where you can walk around the monument, take great pictures and breathe the fresh air. Dine in one of the best paladares and visit the fort, Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña, to watch the cañonazo ceremony where actors dressed in 18th-century military regalia reenact the firing of a cannon over the harbor.

Sip, Puff & Enjoy

Visit the Museum of Rum where you can learn about the island’s rum production. The museum includes a large rum store with the full range of Havana Club products that are available to sample. Visit a tobacco factory and meet with workers who will discuss the production process of one of the world’s most famous cigars. Have dinner in a paladar. Enjoy an evening of Jazz or Salsa at one of Havana’s famous venues.
